Characters: G1 Soundwave, SG Ravage Content: Soundwave calls for friends and contemplates what to do with his odd kitty. Location: East Iacon Time of day: Early evening Warnings: None yet. Status: (Active/Finished?) Active.
Soundwave felt funny. Oh, it felt so very nice to be tucked away again, close to his creator, but... but Soundwave felt funny. Like they weren't quite syncing.
Maybe he'd been hurt! When Slag had fallen and let out that bellow and last gout of flame, maybe Soundwave had been hurt trying to save him! Oh, that would be no good! No good at ALL! But he can't check on Soundwave until the cassette player allows him to eject, and Ravage, as much as he would like to pester to be let loose, doesn't know if it was safe enough to do that yet.
Right before he had just about talked himself into asking, anyway, Soundwave gave the order Ravage had been waiting for.
// OKAY! // he chirruped, flinging himself out of the deck and transforming so that he could land near Soundwave's feet and rub against him, purring up a storm. // Oh it's so GOOD to see you! It was SCARY without you! Can you see me? I MISSED you! //
There was a processor ache coming on already, Soundwave could feel it. Ravage was just... unimaginably not himself.
Soundwave knelt by his underling, resting a hand on the feline's head. He knew Ravage enjoyed physical contact from time to time, but he had never been so demanding or vocal about it.
"Affirmative. You were missed as well," he stated, trying his hardest to get the white cat to calm down. "Ravage, at ease."
Ooooo! Pettings! Ravage intensified his purring, leaning into that hand upon his head, nearly turning himself inside out to rub himself back and forth under it. His amber optics were half-closed with pleasure, and his tail was nearly trembling with happiness.
At ease? Hm. That was... kinda a weird thing for Soundwave to say, but... Ravage supposed he could give that a try. Maybe.
// Okay, Soundwave. Sure! // he chirrups happily, turning about sharply one last time before sitting, curling his tail around his feet, and staring up at Soundwave with a look of utter adoration. // Hey, did you get a new paint job? It's a lot darker than it used to be. What does Megatron think about it? Is Megatron here? Have you seen anyone else yet? I only saw some Autobots, except they were... weird! Like, they seemed like pretty nice guys! I was totally weirded out by that! //
"Negative. Unsure. Negative," Soundwave responded to the questions as they were rattled, increasingly more and more perplexed by his companion's incessant need to vocalize. Ravage had always been the silent type before. Yes, he could communicate as others did, but had preferred to keep to himself. Whoever had done this was going to pay dearly.
"Ravage, calm yourself," he ordered, trying once more. He moved his hands to either side of the cassette's head, fingertips just barely touching the metal plating of the feline. First thing was first: Identify the problem.

This... wasn't going to be easy.

At ease didn't mean keeping quiet, after all.
