I'm starting to realise that there really isn't all that much for me here. In Arizona, that is. This fucking dry desert. If you've lived here all your life, you don't know what I'm talking about.
A place where fall is not just when it cools off.
It looks like this and the air smells of people burning leaves and pumpkin pies.
And this is what you see in your back yard. And at night you can hear the crickets chirp and the frogs sing and you can leave the screen door open.
And things actually bloom in the spring!
Where it rains every other day. But only for about a half hour. Enough to keep everything green.
And the people are . . . interesting.
Ha, I don't expect to find my soul mate in North Carolina. But I do expect to find myself.
Over spring break we will be visiting my brother there while he is acting on 'One Tree Hill'.
And over the summer I might move in with him and my sister-in-law.
. . . . I don't know if I'll come back.
