( Beads of sweat, sliding slow past imperfect skin and the thinnest of hairs, glimmer in the yellow light of his bathroom. Light refracts off the freckled skin, shards caught on imperceptible indentations. His shirt, soaked, lands on the tile with a thwap. )

Awww, you did a great job capturing the subtle signs of House's pain. The little details such as the slight tremble in his left hand and the knee grabbing as he tries to fight through it.

Also, you've made this very ambiguous, leaving the reader wondering what had happened. It almost sounds like the aftermath from Last Resort but then he's got a bruise on his back and a cut on his knuckle. Leaves me wanting more!

Great job!

after writing it, I looked at it and considered the options. It does look like either a post-ep to Last Resort or even to House's Head. But I figured I'd let it stand alone and leave it to the reader to figure out the details. Thanks for coming along and reading! How are your fics doing? I always look forward to your updates!

Ugh. My fics are coming along. I'm just trying to finish up Wired. I should only have about two or three more chapters left. It could go on forever if I wanted to but I want to finish Monster Truck Mayhem too. Now that one will be at least twenty chapters if not longer. So many ideas for both but takes so long to get it down in writing. Wish I had more time!
I squeeze a half hour in here and there to write.

Going to try to work on it a bit more this evening.

Thanks for the compliment. I always look at other fics (including yours) and think "gee, wish I could write like that." Eh. I'll keep slaving away.

I think it is a one shot! I considered extending, but didn't want to dig too deep. I'm hoping to write something longer soon. If I can just get motivated....

I'm really liking this fic. I've read it twice just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Hope you continue with it. I'm dying to know who he punched. Can never get enough of Cuddy taking care of House. My favorite was her helping him get undressed and in the the tub. For some reason her putting her hand on the small of his back to help him along turned me inside out. Love that feeling! :D

Sometimes fics just need to stand on their own. I wanted a small private moment between these two characters and Cuddy taking care of House (overtly) doesn't seem to occur all that much on the show. I'm trying my hand at these shorter fics in an effort to ready myself for something longer...

I have to confess, I think I've read this already but I can't see that I've left a comment? Perhaps, I too am finally descending into madness... Anyway, I loved this wee fic! It's so well written and to mirror Bmax, it's the subtleties that make it work so very, very well. Great writing!
