Thoughts...
So, my cousin's daughter passed away this (ok, yesterday) morning).
She wasn't sick (that any of us knew of) and it's kind of a surprise. I'll be in The DC-area for the next 10 days, and a plane ticket to chicago is about 350, Minneapolis (closer to where I need to get) about 450.
I'm not sure if I should go. I mean, time off isn't the issue. I feel like I really should be there, yes, it's not the closest relationship in the world...but it's something I should be there for.
I also don't think it's necessarily saying I should be avoiding this for money alone. It's not like it's an insurmountable sum...and I say I'm totally fine with spending money for friends, why not family?
Guh. This doesn't make much sense to me typing it, so I doubt it's better for anyone reading it.
I'll wait till the arrangements are announced and then figure out more from there.
