I'm scared, too. People don't even notice the outright lie she keeps telling about the bridge?
I really, really, really hope Obama wins, because I'm frightened of the direction this country will be taking/continuing if he doesn't. He's not perfect, sure, but he seems to me to be far better than the alternative.
And by the way, hi! I've been thinking about you from time to time, I just haven't gotten around to emailing. How are you?
How about the fact that she was being investigated for Troopergate before she was even nomm'd and now the AG for Alaska has threatened to quash any subpoena's the state legislature's investigatory committee issues regarding her OR her subordinates!
Or her husband's membership in a group that wants Alaska to exit the US and become independant? Or the fact that she's taken hundreds of millions in pork for her city, etc? Or her membership in a millenarian apocolyptic movement that believed Armageddon was coming and Alaska was going to be the last good place? Or her belief that the war with Iraq was 'God's will'? Er.... I can keep going.
Anyway, I've been thinking of you too... oddly enough. How are you? my email is this username at gmail? I'd love to hear more about life/house hunt/ etc?
And, something I had always wanted to ask, as you're the person who suckered me into reading Dianna Wynn Jones at one point, what did you think of howl's moving castle?
