i think you missed the point. I wasn't saying not listening was the problem, i was saying acting out for the sake of acting out was a problem. I find it hard to believe that you would be sticking up for a complete asshole like john compono, who, in my health class, took off a belt and hit it on a desk for no recognizable reason. And i don't see what that has to do, at all, with sticking with what you beleive. There's a difference between being principled and being an asshole, and an even finer difference from being stubborn to being an asshole. And did you even get the last part? I was talking about myself, because I didn't want that to happen. It wasn't "everyone isolates themselves because they're mad". I wasn't railing against beliefs or "well-fouded, fact-based inferences", i was railing against closed mindedness. Listen, it's really great that you had the huevos to actually talk to me about this, but i think you're taking this the wrong way. I'm just looking for sincerity in actions. Not for people to not conform for ( ... )
