it takes time adjusting back to our greedy, over consuming American life. for me it took lots of sleepless nights of thinking, many pensive days staying home by myself with my cigarettes, and a tremendous increase in my alcohol consumption and the amount of weed i smoked. its incredibly depressing to see people who don't have enough to eat or drink when here we are with a enormous roof over our heads, we go to full fridge and say there is nothing to eat, and we waste a tremendous amount of clean, drinkable water and not even think twice about it. its hard to adjust back to, and this is the worst part about the trip. you just have to remember, that we are extremely fortunate and theres nothing we can do about how fortunate we are except not take it for granted and realize that not everyone is as privileged as you. and they are incredibly unfortunate, their government, their water condition, and their food situation. but there is something we can do about it. and we DO something about it. we try as hard as we can, and slowly but surely
