You've probably given up on me as dead. Me too. When next Tuesday arrives, I'll have spent 6 months in India, exclusive of the 2 trips I've taken to Chicago. Today I'm at wit's end. Most people I send emails to say I sound absolutely miserable, but that's usually because I write when I'm in a pissy mood, and today is no exception... then again

And I'm all for sushi this fall... Pizza Hut is available here, even if the menu is quite different. No "regular" sausage is available, just chicken sausage, which is crap. On the menu, they do list "Pepperoni*. (* Not available due to import restrictions)." What the hell is that?
And I can get sushi here, but much less frequently, as we are far from the seas, and Indian food handling leaves something to be desired. So I have to eat at 5 star hotels, where it's $10/plate (i.e. 2 pieces of Nigiri sushi). Good thing I don't eat the 12 plates I would at a $1 sushi bar.

For some reason, whenever people try to comiserate with me, I always feel I have to prove that my misery is worse than theirs, which is obviously completely unnecessary, so I'll start refraining from that... especially since outside of the countries starting with "I", things have generally been pretty good to me.
I don't mind kitties hanging from trees... I miss kitties. :( But there are a lot of stray dogs here, and being spring (already at 95degF), there are quite a few puppies.

You know, that's the question I spend more time explaining than any other... even more than "what do you do?," "Tell me about yourself," and "The internet's broken." (although I do half of the IT support for the people on my crew.
The short answer is I have no clue. Normally, I can't even hazard a guess more than 2 weeks into the future (i.e. if I knew I was leaving here in 2 weeks). And I don't know I'm leaving in 2 weeks. I'm guessing some time between July and September 1st. The latter's a hard date because my visa expires and I plan on refusing to renew it. Unfortunately, Ai-Lun's summer break ends at the end of August, so we wouldn't really be able to take a trip somewhere like we usually do.

If you've done half, I think I've done about a quarter of the IT support for the crew since my arrival. Particularly for M- and B- who aren't quite as savvy as younger (as in, under-30) roadies.
Oooh! Time for spicy delights! Gotta jet...
