OKay, its been a looong time since i wrote that comment, but i was just dinking around on my livejournal rereading stuff, and i realized i had to reply, because youve got roper lyrics on your picture icon thingy!!! and that song is just amazing.

And I dont really think i articulated my point in that entry very well. I did not intend to suggest we are not evil, and the attempt to satisfy our good desires (which are simply the longings in our souls that god gave us, certainly not reflecting any inherent righteousness in ourselves) by evil means is truly an evil thing and reflects a deeply sinful nature within us. My point was that satisfaction is in God, and wherever we look for satisfaction other than God and his will and glory can truly be satisfied only in God...the desire has fulfilment in places other than where we look, which doesnt take away the sinfulness of our looking in the wrong places.
