He was both! I mean, August wasn't very easy to date. She's hard to please and won't tell anyone what she wants and she's not the sort of girl most guys wanted to date in the 90s. She was no Lorna, Cheryl, or Alissa. And she appreciates that he stood with her so long and cared about her. But he still took her to a date at a funeral home and hurt her feelings by flirting with other girls.

Hey, you had to dress up to go to that funeral home! ...yeah, even Tommy is embarrassed about that now. He wasn't as human back then as he is now.
