Yesterday was cool at school...got a lot done...hung out with John after that. Yummy new burger place I'd never been to, swimming at my place, karaoke at a new place (where the deejay/karaoke man commented to him: "Where did you find that girl? She's amazing!")...it was so fun to go do karaoke with a guy who actually WANTED to sing and did

That is mean that you're giving your students tests on the end of the third week. :-p I think it's cool that you're "officially" starting your job. I'm sure you'll be a great teacher (despite a test so soon hehe). Good luck!

Wanna hear something even meaner? My junior/senior class? They're getting assigned a paper on the second day of school that's due on the fifth day (assigning it Tuesday, due Friday). Hehehe...one ag teacher told me I was heartless, another one said he does the same thing, but assigns them a speech to present to the class. I guess us new teachers are hardasses!

Hey...I have sort of a random question for you. Nothing to do with what you posted (even though I think it's evil you're giving a paper so soon and a test but congrats on the job anyway :-p). As you probably read on my lj I'm going to be moving in mid September. I was wondering if you need a desk? My desk won't fit in what's going to be my new room. It's a corner unit, really big, has a big hutch with lots of storage stuff. It's wood...the top (like where you write area) is a greyish marble type color the rest is a light regular wood color. I can take a picture and email it to you if you want. But it can come apart to make it easier to move. I just thought maybe with a new job and your own room now maybe you'd like a desk. Let me know!
