Today we will be going from this to

Step One

Crop your image.

I cropped mine so that I would have different options as to where he will be positioned in the 300 x 300 finished product.

Step Two

Creating the fair complection.

Duplicate your base layer twice. The first duplicate will be desaturated so it will look black and white.
Adjust>Hue and Saturation>Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Set hue and lightness to 0 and saturation to -100. Then set that layer to color. Opacity 100%

You should come up with something like this.

The second duplicate you reduce the opacity to around 80%. Then set that layer to screen.

You sould come up with something like this.

Step Three

Bright eye color.

Create a new layer.
Zoom in.
Using the Selection Tool>Freehand Selection select one of the irises. Select your foreground and background colors. Underneath you foreground you will see a solid circle, click it and choose Gradient. Click on the sample gradient and choose the foreground background option. You will see a style option, select the circle. Now you will take your Flood Fill Tool and fill in the eye. do the same with the other eye. Then set that layer to Soft Light.

You should have something similar to this while zoomed in.

Step Four

Eyeliner Effect.

Create a new layer. take you paint brush and set it to air brush. next choose the setting of the size of the brush to your liking. and draw around the eyes. Next you can reduce the opacity if you so choose, i set mine to 75%. Next you set that layer to Luminance (L).

You should come up with something similar to this.

Step Five

Making the image darker.

Create a new layer. Flood Fill with black. Set at 100% opacity. Then set that layer to Soft Light.

You end up with something similar to this.

Step Six (optional)

I thought that Adam needed more eyeliner.

So I created a new layer.  Then I drew a thicker line underneath his eyes with the airbrush using black. Then I decided it was too harsh so I used the Soften brush and went over it a few times. Then I set that layer's opacity to 94%.

I ended up with this.

Step Seven

Lip Color

Create a new layer.
Use the Freehand Selection Tool and select the lips. Then use the Flood Fill Tool and fill then in with black. Next set that layer's opacity to around 50%. Then to make the outline of the lips less harsh I used the Soften Tool around the lips.

You should come up with something like this.

Step Eight (optional)

Streaks In Hair.

Created a new layer. Then take the Airbrush Tool and draw some in. Then go over them with the soften brush around 12 times to make it blend. Next set that layer to Soft Light.

I came up with this.

Step Nine (optional)

Piercings.

I went to Google.com selected Image Search and typed in piercing to find pictures of piercings. For example if you want a lip ring, search for lip piercing.

I took a picture and copied and pasted it in PSP.

Then I took my Freehand Selection Tool and selected only the part of the piercing I needed. For example, for the nose ring I took just the ring.

I then pasted it onto my image as a new layer and positioned it where I wanted. Some piercings take more then one layer like the eyebrow rings.

After I choose a few piercings and pasted them as new layers I merged/flattened all the piercings as one layer. Right click on the top layer Merge>Merge Down.

Next I wanted them to all be the right color so I desaturated the piercing layer.
Adjust>Hue and Saturation>Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Set hue and lightness to 0 and saturation to -100. 100% opacity.

I came up with this.

I wanted the eye color to stand out a bit more. So I moved the eyecolor layer to the top.

Final Step

Crop the photo to a square.
Then resize the image.

Final Product
