Summary: Sanada lost his umbrella.
Practice ended late that day. They had been practising for their new song, No More Wait, and where as all of them were able to do the dance by themselves (it wasn’t all that difficult of a dance for a former back dancing unit), they kept bumping into each other, causing multiple minor injuries, and countless repeats of the 2 minute performance
Sanada, who was more or less used to the long practices (“Compared to TOP3 practices, this is nothing! It used to take us hours to get Hasshi to actually work! All he wanted to do was play with his little robot!”), was more interested in other problems. Whereas most of the boys we moping around trying to get changed so they could go home, he was jumping all over the place, and rustling through piles of clothes.
“Argh! Where is my umbrella?! I swear I brought it today!” He let out another frustrated scream when no one did as much as bat an eyelash.
“God! How can you have so much energy?” Fukka asked annoyed, “Just find someone to share with or something! Your house isn’t that much of a walk from your stop, you’ll be fine.”
“Eww! I can’t do that! Sharing an umbrella is so girly!” Sanada replied.
“Huh? What about an umbrella?” Nozawa asked, coming out of the showers.
“Nothing!” Sanada screamed, stomping out of the room with a faint blush
“What’s with him?” Nozawa asked Abe, who shared a knowing glace with the others before replying quietly with a smile.
“You.”
Twenty minutes later, Sanada was standing in front of the Jimusho building, debating what to do. He could try to run to the station, but it was pretty far, and he definitely would have gotten soaked. He considered asking a senpai for a ride, but imidately changed his mind as Akanishi drove by with his booming stereo, creating a huge splash of water. Looks like run it is.
Suddenly, he felt something over him. An umbrella. Looking to his right, he saw Nozawa standing beside him with a small smile that made Sanada’s heart skip a beat.
“You lost your umbrella, right? Let’s walk to the station together, then.”
Sanada found himself nodding in agreement without realizing, and couldn’t help but look away when Nozawa smiled again.
The walk to the station was a pleasant one, or as pleasant as a walk can get when it’s pouring. Sanada felt strangely disappointed as they reached the station all too soon.
“Well, I need to go this way…” Nozawa stated, closing the umbrella.
“Huh? Oh yeah. Um.. Thanks, for um, you know, the umbrella.”
“Any time,” Nozawa smiled. Glancing around causiously, he quickly pecked Sanada on the cheek.
“Uh… Bye!” Nozawa said quickly, as he ran to his train.
Sanada stood there for a couple minutes. Finally realizing what had just happened, he felt a silly smile make its way onto his face, as he decided to lose his umbrella more often.
