That Damned Vulcan

Thus far, I am impressed with my nephew's demeanor and behavior since I had him kidnapped and ran through detox. Although he's been a shame to the family and an embarrassment to Starfleet for many years, I always knew that there was wasted potential in him -- it was just necessary to scrub away the layers of filth to reach the Starfleet officer beneath.
Of course, this leads one to wonder how such a good officer as Ken was obviously capable of being became the drunken, lecherous bum that he's actually spent decades as -- and I believe I know the answer: That damned Vulcan, his first officer, Commander storvik. For years, Storvik has been the enabler to Kenton's bad behavior: Providing him with illegal alcohol, Orion slave girls, and whatever else Kenton wished to wallow in. "Just following orders" has never been an acceptable defense, but I'm sure that Storvik's motivations run deeper than that. For, as long as Captain kyjellico was kept down, Commander Storvik was the one running the show.
This is why I'm pushing Kenton to arrest the damned Vulcan and turn him over to me -- for I know that Storvik will be ready and willing to undo all of my work, knock down my nephew, and take over the uss_murgatroid again if he's not removed from the scene as soon as possible. Of course, I can't explain it this way to my nephew, who still thinks that the cold, power-hungry Vulcan is his friend -- which is why I've needed to invent evidence that the Vulcan may be a Romulan spy. I've also tried to convince him that letting us debrief and detoxify Storvik would be for the Vulcan's own good. This might actually be true -- Storvik might be a good officer once he's been through some re-education -- but I have no intention of letting him return to the Murgatroid under any circumstances.
Admiral Janeway seems to have been successful in her "re-programming" of capt_terminal (although she says she's having trouble with Lothar). She's expressed an interest in trying her hand on the Vulcan next...
