Especially with the declaration of the effect on the timeline. Unless every single one of us except me went back, I'd have seen the damage.

According the Observer, there is damage - but honestly, I don't know how much we ought to trust her either, and jumping through a mysterious portal doesn't seem overly sensible regardless.

Besides, even if every one of us does return, more will probably be taken, and we may not even stay.
