It's forty-eight days until Halloween, and I'm practising a couple recipes this month so I can make ghoulish delights all October. I'm no baker and a sorry excuse for a cook, but when it comes to creepytreats I actually enjoy making them and am therefore determined to become kind of Halloween idiot-savant in the world of cookery.

My family has been munching on the cookies since I made them, but O the truffles. I'm in that battle of They Look Delicious Omg Want VS They're So Cute I Can't Possibly Bite Into Them And Destroy Them. XD

How's Baragon doing? :D LOL I swear, soooooo many pets I've had in my lifetime have magically changed genders and needed new names. It's hard to tell, and if someone says girl to you... you just believe them! Once I had a cat I'd named Andrea and when it was revealed she was in fact a he I just took off the A at the end of her name and he was Andre. XD

The dough takes like two seconds to make, but I DO recommend you get a helper or two for the cutting and baking process. I was going to do it alone and I ended up being like "SO MANY COOKIES SURROUNDING ME, HALP LOL" and getting my sister and my dad to be cutters and sugar-ers. When you're dealing with 15 dozen of anything, even if they're tiny, it's good to have assistance lol.
Also the original recipe is from Land O' Lakes and they call for 2 tablespoons orange juice and 2 teaspoons orange zest, but I left those out because we didn't have oranges at the time. They're yummy and simple without it, but if you like citrus in your cookies I bet that'd be yummy to add too. :D

Oh and I found them from Land O Lakes where they called for 2 tablespoons orange juice and 2 teaspoons orange zest that I didn't add since I had no oranges, so if you want citrusy cookies you can throw those in there too.

I ended up adding 2 tbsp of orange juice and 1 tbsp vanilla instead of the orange zest, but thanks for the source!
