On a more serious note, I figure that it's possible some other species would come along with sapience (and the capacity to use tools), but that it would take so damn long that by the time they got to where we were there'd be nothing left of us but a flag on the moon and fossils.
I recall reading that even the most well constructed of our monuments would fall apart within a few thousand years without maintenance. So yeah, they wouldn't really learn much from us.
Makes you think... what if somebody came before us? Not that I believe that but it's an interesting idea.
I just saw an episode of Life Without People and they said chimps would get there first, but it might take 10,000 years for them to evolve to a point of them creating a civilization. By then, only the pyramids and a few human monuments would remain.
