the tenth.

I haven't updated properly in a while, it seems. I have been...busy, after all, what with Setsuna, then Allelujah. This community is almost as much trouble as I predicted it to be.

Mikaela's party was interesting, to say the least. A shame that I couldn't examine the Cybertronians for myself, but then, there is little I can do about that. I cannot ( Read more... )

allelujah, celestial being, mikaela

A secret worldwide organization that intervenes in world affairs? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Or a spy novel, at the least.

I'm not particularly fond of fiction.

Yes, somehow I didn't think you would be.

Hm. I never took you to be the social type.

Celestial Being? What sort of interventions do they under take? You make it sound as if they're trying to mediate global conflict, but that's not possible.

I'm not.

That's precisely what they seem to be doing.

Then why the party? Did you get dragged against your will or merely an attempt to study those like Blackout?

There's really no possible way to eradicate entirely though. It's a nice fantasy that many dream of, but as long as you have conflicting opinions and agendas between any two or more parties, there's bound to be some break out of fighting.

Setsuna was adamant about going. I went along to keep an eye on him.

There are various ways to solve a dispute. Celestial Being seems to be focused on removing the unnecessary option of war. As I've described it before, it seems to be no different from a parent breaking the sticks that two siblings are using to hit each other with, and forcing them to solve their differences by talking.

...hello, Ban Midou. Have you found the child?

I haven't, but I have gotten some information on her. Currently hammering out a deal with Hades to head on down there, though.

Hades? As far as I can tell, he's nothing but trouble.

Trouble's just the bits in between! Rather like traveling, actually. Must be why I stick around here.

Hmmm... I seem to be a bit behind on the Parallel Universe Politics we have going on here, so - Celestial Being?

In between what?

Celestial Being are a privately owned paramilitary organization in possession of the mobile suits known as Gundam. Their aim is to wipe out war, striking down the sources of conflict with their superior firepower.

At least, that's what they claim.

The good stuff, of course! I mean, other than making sure that the multiverse isn't gonna implode around our heads, why else would we stick around here?

Ending war by waging war? That seems a little, well, backwards, and I'm not really saying that I approve of those methods... but even I have to admit that that's brilliantly unexpected. I can appreciate unexpected.

So these Gundam things - for a privately owned organisation to be making as much headway as you were saying up there, I gather that they must be pretty cutting-edge technology, am I right?

Why else? There is no else, Doctor. I am observing the community, watching for its effects on our world. I simply engage in conversation to pass the time while waiting for the next problem.

People say their actions are hypocritical, but I don't see how that is the case. They're fighting to end conflict, not for energy, or land, or power, or religion. They're truly neutral. ...or at least, that is how they present themselves.

Yes, the Gundams are at a level of development beyond anything ever seen on our world.

Aren't most programs like that theories and guesswork?

nonesodangerous September 25 2008, 16:20:30 UTC
Exactly. It's almost embarassing to watch these so-called "experts" making up such rubbish.

ihave_control September 25 2008, 17:24:59 UTC
I suppose we can give them credit for trying to make sense of it, at least, even if their theories are a little unusual.

A guess, no matter how you wrap it up with circumstantial evidence, is still a guess.
