Same here. My parents are atheist (Mom) and agnostic (Dad) and I sort of stumbled over paganism in college.

Where's the part where you discover that everyone you looked up to was lying about what they actually knew/believed/studied and you become disillusioned with the new religion, give up and decide to be nothing for the rest of your life because I don't need no stinkin' religion, find that utterly depressing and unfulfilling, then return to poking at the new religion hopefully, trying not to repeat your past mistakes with it...?

'Cause that's where I am. :D

It's an interesting overview of how someone might come to paganism FROM another faith.

However, more and more people are reaching adulthood who were raised in the pagan trad or whatever you want to call it.

I learned herbalism from my Mother's Grandmother, to be a medium from my Mother, and spell casting from various Aunts. I helped to raise my own sister, born when I was 17, in the craft (for lack of a better term), and she is now 26 years old and has her own students.

We didn't all get here from somewhere else.

That doesn't describe my experience at all. None of the stages are anything I've gone through. Parts of them, sure, but no actual stage corresponds to my experience. I feel as though something must be missing - my circumstances aren't special-snowflake, but my experiences apparently are, according to this.

OTOH, I have seen many pagans go through these stages.
