The more we try to ignore something, the more it looks for ways to poke out. Sounds to me like this memory needs to be brought out and exposed, that way it can get lost in all the other thoughts floating through your mind.

Either that or rebuild the little black box of your mind. Some good JB Weld should help...

see, the thing is, i have aired that memory out.
for like a whole year.

maybe you should share it.
I'm not one for taking my own advice, but somethings are easier to carry when there is someone else to share it. Someone that you can talk to when the memory comes up again, instead of just trying to ignore it or push it back down.
but isn't it a strange thing, that the most painful wounds are self-inflicted?
