But no, even though that would be awesome. I think it'd be great to be an old fashioned projectionist.

I've always thought I'd like working in a theatre to....but an old fashioned cool one (like you mentioned)..not one with annoying young teens and people who leave crap all over the floor that I would have to pick up.

Ahhhhhhhh... Well, I've had jobs since I was 14, and that was when I worked at a record store and was the only one around to work holidays, and 'cause my birthday falls so near Halloween, I inevitably end up working that, too.

After that, though, I was a bouncer for about 6 years, which meant having to work holidays always because that's when the big parties happen. And now I work at a hotel, so of course we get busy on the holdiays.

Rawr.

From time to time, a co-worker and good-friend of mine comments about space ships and hover crafts...
(i.e.) isn't that fucked up? i thought for sure we'd be flyin' in space ships and hover crafts by now.
I myself can't help but think of "people movers"..
and how we can't even handle those, (you know senators,presidents,etc. falling and hurting themselves) let alone space age floaty devices!
I saw a group of them on the canal last week,
and sure enough,
poor middle aged woman fell and badly scuffed her pride.
