Yeah, it's strange, but you know - she's in no way shape or form a new mother. She's your dad's . . . whatever. Really kind of peripheral to you and your relationship to your parents when you come right down to it.

Both of my parents remarried when I was an adult, so I know about the sudden appearance of parental significant others in the picture. With any luck you end up having a cordial relationship with them, although the weirdness factor does tend to stay around :)
