Oh, Well

Nov 17, 2005 07:40

I quit my job yesterday. The owner of the store was a complete prick to me and I find that kind of treatment intolerable. It's the same reason I left my last job except that I left this one before it really got bad. I just can't be happy in a place where snarky comments or racist innuendos are made. I can't do it ( Read more... )

good for you.
i mean, you stood up for your moral rights. not a lot of people do that anymore.

and no, i totally believe that you should be happy at your job. its something you have to do daily, and if going in and doing a job daily doesn't make you smile in some sort of way, then you should seriously look for another.

i also believe that for a career.

who knows how long you have on a mortal coil, so don't waste it doing a job you hate, or can't stand, or that you feel brings your morals down. i wouldn't.

*hugs*

i wish you the best of luck in finding a job that suits you well.

I stayed at my last job way longer than I should have and I was seriously stressed by it. I saw that starting here and that meant that I was able to enjoy life as much as I wanted to.

Thanks and Hugs! :)

I finally realized that my unconscious criteria is simple; if I take a 'sick' day in the first two weeks...I won't last at the job for whatever reason, whether one I'm aware of or one that my subconscious has picked up on.

Go you!

That happened to me in the factory. That was an experience I never want to repeat.

This place just wasn't fulfilling its purpose as a part-time, fun, get out of the house and bring in a (very) small amount of cash anymore and that was that.

Big Sigh...Loking is such a pain in the ass...gonna get back on that horse on Monday. :(

Good for you. We spend too much of our lives working to have it affect our lives so negatively. Life's too bloody short. Would you consider going back to school?

((((snug))))) good for you, darlin. it should not be too much to ask that you wake up, realize it's time for work, and you not wanna gouge your eyes out rather than go. i'm not saying every day's a party, but it's nice to at least not HATE it. that's not THAT much, is it?

good luck, darlin. this class thing sounds like a good move :)
