Dennis Rader was a simple man from a simple background. His Father, made umbrellas from wicker to support young Dennis and his 10 brothers and sisters. Dennis's mother was killed during the birth of her son. Instead of a "traditional" funeral, Keith Rader, Dennis's father, opted to make a coffin out of wicker and spice her body with dried sage and luxurious arabian potpourri.

Does this justify the terrible crimes he commited? Fuck no it doesn't. Does it shed some light as to why Rader did what he did? Fuck yes it does.
