When I was growing up I had a cat that did this same thing. Chianti would bring home flip-flops, underwear, bras, the occasional shoe, but mostly socks and gloves. We had a couple bags worth of stuff that our cat would steal from neighbors' garages. My father would get up in the morning to get the paper and be greeted by a random sock. Awesome. This is totally urban hunting behavior; I can see how a female cat would especially adapt her skills to bringing home socks and gloves (which I imagine to her mind look like little dead rodents)...

No No, when I saw this earlier in the week I sent on to mom and referenced Chianti. The flip flops she brought home (one on one day, the mate on another) were worn by Lynne for quite a while. The biggest thing I remember her bringing home was that Ernie hand puppet with a huge plastic head. The grossest thing was a half-eaten Koi. Clepto Chianti!
