I never believed it either (the charges). He never seemed to recover from it emotionally and physically and ultimately, I think it killed him.

Its easy enough to judge someone based on their eccentricities, but honestly, I think all of us would be a little fucked up if we lived in a fish bowl all our lives, you know?

I feel bad about it, too. I know, he was odd - but he lived 50 years and I doubt he ever had a moment of normalcy in all that time. Its sad.
