Whoops.

I belatedly realized, or rather, was made to realize, that my last entry may have seemed like an attack or a public bashing. Let me state, as publicly as I ranted, that this was not my intention. this is a personal journal, and I go out of my way to make sure I don't have to limit who can see what entries, because the point of a public journal, or ( Read more... )

Well we all go on rants you should check mine out from third weekend. You said what was in your mind which started some good dialogue.
RG has always had a target on it's back but this year was harder than most.
I normally try to stay out of the bickering and political games but this year I had enough of the rumors, complaints, and attacks, so I charged into it like the strawberry hulk.

The good thing is that it gave everyone a chance to say their piece and air it out.
I will make sure that I reverance in the right places and hopefully they will realize it was not a conspiracy that we were not reveranceing.

Yeah, it did get a few things out in the open, didn't it? I'm all for that, I just didn't want it to turn into a flame war, ja?

I hadn't realized how much you all are targets until this year.

I would love to get to know them better...and maybe try to play with them, if invited. I've studied acting for 13 years and swordplay for 3. They go above and beyond to make the faire entertaining with some very very colourful characters.

Honey, your LJ is a place where you can rant to your heart's content. Criticizm be damned. I use it as a sounding more quite often and get both praise and negative comments for the things I say. LJ is a very powerful tool indeed...but you're doing fine. I found nothing wrong with your last entry. I noticed that there were a hell of a lot of snootyboots who refused to play, even with Playtrons who "pay to play" and that's not very good practice.

I enjoyed having you at our table at King's feast. (that was you right?)

I saw genuine frustration, not negativity. If I honestly felt attacked by you I wouldn't bother to comment. You are not the first person that has voiced that RG 'appears' elitist and self-absorbed. There is a fine line between arrogance and confidence; the difference is a little humility. Anyone that feels they have arrived in the 'land of done' needs to understand growth and improvement are always possible and I learn something about myself through the eyes of others. I hope you will see this as an opportunity to begin a friendship not just to vent. I think there is a lot of common ground between your world and mine beyond Festival ( ... )
