If they had a better coach than Dave Sarachan, I would feel a heck of a lot better about them. His tactics and substitution decisions are awful and were a main reason why they missed the playoffs last year.

perhaps i am just a bit more optimistic. however, i still feel that they will perform better than many are anticipating. in any regard, you run thefirealarm.com and write various soccer columns? (your name sounds awfully familiar)

I had them finishing third in the east this year because of the talent the club has, not the coaching. Call me cynical at this point but if the Fire are contending for first in July I will have changed my mind.
