kink_bingo: Forgive me,Father,for I have sinned (prologue)

The gravel scrunches under the wheels of the dark minivan and, once the vehicle’s occupants have dismounted, also under their shoes.

The group, formed my father, mother and son, stops outside the main door of the severe building.

“Are you ready, Brendon?” the father asks.
”We’re so proud of you,” the mother echoes, her eyes already watering a bit.

Brendon smiles tightly at them, finally gulping a yes.

An old car is parked opposite the minivan. A tall scruffy man hops off and takes some luggage before entering the building; a tall and thin guy follows him inside.

“Welcome, gentlemen, I’m Father Roscow,”  a balding man introduces himself.

“I’m George Ross and this is my son Ryan,” the scruffy man replies, subtly shoving the boy ahead.

“I hope you’ll enjoy you experience in seminary, Ryan,” Father Roscow smiles.

The contents of the duffel bag are scattered on the bed (Brendon already tried it, and the mattress is too thin to his liking).

What the hell has he gotten himself into, Brendon wonders: all because he didn’t want to upset his parents… Pity he doesn’t even believe in God, or at least not in the same way the rest of his family does.

++++++++++++

Does his father really think that studying religion would change him? First of all, there is going to be plenty of guys Ryan could deviate and have fun with. Second, he doesn’t want to change, he’s a stubborn little bitch and his father should know it, since the boy inherited the character from him.

“Hello, neighbor.”

Ryan looks up: looking at him from the open door, there’s a tiny dark haired boy with an open yet slightly shy face and a big smiling mouth.

“Hi,” he replies laconically.

“I’m Brendon Urie,” the other boy greets, stepping in the room uninvited.

“Ryan Ross,” the skinny boy says, shaking hands with his ‘neighbor’.

“So, uh…why are you here?” Brendon asks with a bittersweet chuckle.

“I’m gay and my father thinks God may change me,” Ryan replies bluntly, taking the other guy aback.

“Oh! Okay…” Brendon comments shyly.

“What about you?” Ryan asks back, slumping on the bed after having finished to put his stuff away.

“…My family is very religious and every male member has attended seminary…” Brendon explains, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.

“Ugh,” Ryan can’t help but make a disgusted noise.

“Yeah, you got it right,” the dark haired boy huffs, sitting on the floor.

They stay in a rather comfortable silence, Ryan looking at the ceiling and Brendon playing with a lace of his shoes.

“Have you ever had sex before entering here?” Ryan asks out of the blue.

“W-w-what?!” Brendon splutters, blushing profusely.

Ryan turns his head towards him, looking at him for a long time.

“I guess not,” he finally states, “Oh, yeah, your family is very religious so no pre-marital sex,” he adds.

Brendon looks down ashamed.

“vntevnksd,” he mutters.

Ryan looks back at him, “What?”

“I haven’t even kissed,” Brendon murmurs.

The brunette guy sits straighter, leaning towards Brendon, “I can’t hear you!”

“I said I haven’t even kissed anybody!” Brendon finally states clearly, red from the tip of his ears to his neck and down his shirt.

“Oh,” Ryan just opens his mouth in a perfect O, strangely feeling shy and embarrassed, “It’s-It’s okay…Did you think I’d mock you for that?”  he asks, pretending to be cool.

Brendon just looks away.

“I’m a bastard but not to these levels. How old are you, by the way? Just curiosity!” Ryan asks, hands up in surrender at the way Brendon glances back at him.

“I’m sixteen.”

“Cool, me too.”

The silence that follows this conversation is more tense, Brendon feels the urge to return in his room.

“Well. See you around, Ryan Ross,” he says bye, already heading to the door.

“I’m sorry for being a dick!”

Brendon turns and sees Ryan’s ashamed and honest face.
No time for apologies, though, because the bell rings for the upcoming reunion of seminarists.
