China boycott update

My boycott of chinese goods is driving me to do things that I would have considered ridiculous in the past. I end up repairing a lot of stuff that I otherwise would have thrown away. It seems within my lifetime, I've seen a lot of repair shops (for various items, really) decline as people get used to replacement versus refurbishing. I think your skills in mending things will not only save you a bit of cash down the road, but reinforces the idea that we really should get the most out of what we are consuming. About the only repair shops you see a lot of these days are computer repair and automotive repair. Meh.
