1. Name: Faith
2. Age: 21
3. Queer, or wish you were?: Queer
4. Location: Canada (Toronto and Ottawa)
5. What is your favorite book and why?: I have many, for many different reasons. Da Vinci Code - brilliant! No Logo - i've read the book and seen Naomi Klein speak and she's taught me a lot. How to give her Absolute Pleasure - haven't really read it yet, but i have a feeling i'll love it ;) The Liberal Mind, Down and Out in Paris and London - it reminds me of a life i want to live.
6. Life motto (phrase you live by): "To those who said i'd never make it in life... i can't hear you" - faith
7. Why are you so gay? (if we hear any more stories about how you had two Barbies but no Ken, we will kill you, seriously.): ok so this one time... at band camp... fack i dunno why i'm so gay! i dont even think i'm that gay... i'm just gay. plain ol gay. i stopped trying to put a reason behind it when i realised that no one cared for a reason but me. so, for the sake of answering this question i'll go with... chicken.
8. Your hero/idol: i dont idolize anyone. I'm a musician though, so certain artists make me melt. Adrien Young is the reason i kept playing the drums. i love miles, marsalis, james, fitzgerald, franklin, keys, parker, TOOL, System, No Doubt (back in the 90s of course)... oh i'll stop myself.
9. Thoughts on the following:
Socialism ("I don't follow politics" does not work. Stop being ignorant and come back when you're educated.): what about socialism? i believe in social justice programs - i'm currently working on a project (Ten Oaks Project). it's a non denominational summer camp and program for kids of GLBTQ families who, otherwise, couldn't afford camp. i'm a part of this camp as a councellor for 8-10 year olds. So basically, yes i do believe in socialism to an extent, only because - like most people - i believe in things i feel passionate about. Breaking down gender roles/stereotypes, sexism, child abuse, racism and building stronger foundations for the less priviledged, less abled, and other minorities are just a few of the social justice programs i do (or would like to do).
Grammar: i'm not going to lie, i dont lie in bed pondering the functions and calculations of grammar... but withoot eet eye'd bee tolking lick dis an no won wuld undrstand mi... get my drift?
Country music: wow, so much musical talent has stemmed from country music. i can appreciate country up until the 40s or 50s.. after that pop killed it. the way elvis acculturated country and r&b was phenominal and innovative. now, we're left with shania twain. (*she's fully canadian, i know!)
Rating communities: again... i'll go with chicken.
Intermarriage: all i care about is love and happiness... i dont give a flying fuck who you marry. *awkward silence* actually... i'd have a lil problem if my best friend told me she was marrying a cow. but other then that, i dig the whole intermarriage shtuff.
Religion: i dont believe in placebos. i dont believe in cults. i dont believe in people uniting for the single purpose of giving up power, i dont believe in fighting and killing under those terms either.
Machismo: i see it every day and i hate it. the machismo factor has killed billions of women and children around the world. it is the root of those exact power structures men and women try to fight every single day of their lives.

10. What is "class," to you? nap time between lunch and recess

11. Are you one who settles, or one who strives for more? Why? i never settle, but i dont constantly stive for more either. if i'm not happy with the outcome i'll fix it, but i'm not a perfectionist and i dont OCD over my imperfections.

12. Do you honestly think that you are attractive? trust me, really, i wish i could answer this question. but i can't cuz i dont know. i think i'm kind and loving and caring... and when i see those qualities in another person i find them totally attractive.

13. How would you gauge the importance of acquiring a second (or third) language? in ottawa if you dont speak french and english, you're fucked for a job. so i'm happy i'm fluent in both. communication is the only way we can interact with one another - learning various forms of communication, to me, holds much importance.

14. Do you perpetuate a gay stereotype? (Honestly, people!) i usually have short nails. but i think that's cuz i play many instruments and prissy nails get in the way. other than that, pshh prolly not!

15. Do you take what people on the Internet say seriously? roadkillrabbit YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ps - i only take it seriously if i'm talking to my friends. random internet geeks dont scare me... I"M TOUGH!)

16. And finally, why should we give a damn (this can be intepreted in any way you wish)? you should "give a damn" because, as bliss as ignorance may be, you'll never grow, progress, mature, learn, care, or love if you don't. the more you know, the more you realize how much you dont know... and for me, that's one of the greatest realizations i have had.

17. At least 3 pictures (at least one non-photoshopped that you can see your face in):
i just got my hair cut - i wish i had a pic of it. but sadly, i dont. so here's me last weekend on a road trip with my girls. -> at a random gas station in some random city.

me with my mini bar - though, awkwardly enough, you can't actually see the mini bar... *sigh*... there really was one there tho... i SWEAR!

my friend May and i tried so hard to look so bad ass (again for an awkward moment, i didn't have to dress up... she did... and i would post the picture of the two of us but that wouldn't be nice)

my least fav picture of myself. i hate this one. i look dead... or constipated... but i still think it's funny (even funnier that my ex is (partly) cut out of it... ha)

me at my schools drag pagent. no, i wasn't in drag, i just went back stage and took my friends guitar, award, and hat and started rockin out by myself... but i turned around to 2 drag queens and my two drag king friends laughing at me cuz i was fully rockin out to the Britney Spears blasting in the club
