Ok, I work in a bar that is extremely haunted. MOST of the spirits are no problem.. But there is one that had been sticking around a lot lately.. That literally makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end, I'm more of a feeler then anything, it gives me a feeling of pure evil. I have seen and heard it as well. My Co worker finally broke down

I like to keep things simple and effective. Have her take an onion and quarter it. Then place a quarter in each direction of her home. In the morning, discard the quarters. Repeat as needed. Onions are really effective at absorbing nasty stuff. Sounds very kitchen witchy, but has worked for quite a few people I know - often on the first night.
