Meme? Meh.

May 12, 2008 16:02

This journal is not for memes, but I found this one to be an interesting bit of study and not truly a meme at all. I have removed the 'if you respond you must post this in your journal' item because that simply bores me.

a) Tell you why I friended you.
Besides the fact that I have known you for a Dog's age, you're also marginally cool to talk to on a regular basis.

b) Associate you with something - random, a song, a color, a photo, etc.
I was going to link my favorite Saehr photo, but all my trek photos are missing!

c) Tell you something I like about you.
You have a very strong moral compass, Ano, it guides you. If you let it, it will guide others also.

d) Tell you a memory I have of you.
Oh, dear. Well funny enough I remember trying to tell you that Gully was a two bit loser and you not believing me. They say we all must learn from our own mistakes, well I remember you learning to listen to me then! *Grins*

e) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
How do you define 'True Love', all these years later?

f) Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.

A. Marginally. :P You mean, when I'm not driving you insane. :)

B. ... I bet I even know which one it is. I don't think I have it anymore, either.

C. Thank you, I'll remember that.

D. -lol.- Oh, man...

E. Hm. I'll get back to you on that one.

F. hahahaha.

a) Tell you why I friended you.
I like to keep an eye on all my friend's lives, especially if we're disconnected. Which is essentially how I am with most of my old Star Wars RP mates. It lets me know they're doing better, even if the old community no longer exists.

b) Associate you with something - random, a song, a color, a photo, etc.
Had a Bad Day - Daniel Powder, because when I think of you I think of your accident prone Emoetry Gripe Fests in ICQ/AIM. *LOL*

c) Tell you something I like about you.
You have always kept a positive attitude, that pushes you forward. I tease you about the emoetry rants of old, but in reality I've never seen be pulled down in the mire of despair. Except once, about a boi. But he didn't deserve you anyway.

d) Tell you a memory I have of you.In your case I have quite a few. *LOL* However one that stands out is, as I've alluded too, you being sulky about injuring your leg while skiing. You were all mopey and depressed, but you kept being determined to not be held down or stalled. It was really ( ... )

a) Tell you why I friended you.
V.A. through thick and thin, something inside of me dies if I don't have some small connection to you. I want to know how you're doing, how your life is, where it's going, and if you need my help.

b) Associate you with something - random, a song, a color, a photo, etc.
In My Place - Cold Play, go listen to it.

c) Tell you something I like about you.
Your ability to forgive.

d) Tell you a memory I have of you.
I was driving through a Hurricane, like a dumbass, and who did I call?

e) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
Why the obsession with non-primary colors?

f) Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.

a) Tell you why I friended you.
Clearly. I needed a token male friend somewhere on my f-list.

b) Associate you with something - random, a song, a color, a photo, etc.
Iron Man - The whole damn movie, I kept calling Robert Downey, Steve.

c) Tell you something I like about you.
Despite whatever short comings you have, Stevil, you have always been a true friend to me when I needed one. You aren't just my friend, you're my brother.

d) Tell you a memory I have of you.
"Hey, Steve?"
"Yo, s'up?"
"Feel like playing Cage?"
"Uuhhh sure, why?"
"Just post, it'll be fun."
"Oh, god."
"No, seriously. Fun. For me."

e) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
Why did you join the service originally?

f) Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.

Oyy. I remember far too many conversations going along the lines of the Luke Cage one. Like, every other scene, really. Glad to know you still feel that way, bro. I almost called you the other day, but I figured you probably were occupied at 2pm lol. Oddly enough, the second time I saw Iron Man I thought of you too. I was watching the end fight, and thinking "Man, if Doug was running this, Stark would get kicked in the nuts here..." :P

As for why I originally joined the service..

Recall on 9/11 when quite a few of us hopped into an AIM chat? Not sure if you were in the same one with me, Emily, and such, but I decided to enlist that then and there while patriotism was running high in me.

a) Tell you why I friended you.
You are one of three of the truly best friends I have ever had. We may be out of touch, but it doesn't change that fact in my mind.

b) Associate you with something - random, a song, a color, a photo, etc.
Touched - Vast

c) Tell you something I like about you.
Everything, Maggie, but if I had to pick one thing? I'd say that what I like most about you is the way you have changed in the last couple months. Darling for years you haven't been complete, and now you radiate completeness so brightly that I feel the warmth from here.

d) Tell you a memory I have of you.Since I have to pick just one. I remember talking to you at length, some years ago now, about the expectations of your family for you to have a baby. About your worries, about the longing, and about the problems you've had with all of it. I remember the fear you expressed to me that day ( ... )
