WW understands that a pound or two in either direction is normal and it is expected. overall they award longer trends and percentages, rather than each pound lost.

they ask, when you start the program, to state a goal and this goal could be in pounds, percentage, or even pants size (if you want, although that is difficult for women to track, unless you're looking at actual inches). i chose a percentage as my first goal: 5%. this will bring me down to about 145. my ultimate goal is 10%, which will put me in the 130s, which is the healthiest for my height and age and will certainly help my health.

Did you opt for the walk-in plan for a particular reason?

i wanted to try out the meetings and weigh-in. i feel like i have to be accounted for and that keeps me on-track. plus, it's been shown that weight loss is more successful when done in groups. my sister has had fine success with just the online tools, but i wanted to try the group sessions first. :)

Yup. Accountability is key. I've opted for something similar 'cept I never have to see my witness.
