Hi Andy,
Christina here! We must be relatives, as this lady is MY great grandmother, I have the original photo. Her daughter Florence was my nana, my mums mum. The information that I have re her first husband Donald was "created" by my mum's brother whom I believe may have invented some of the family info. My email is tinatrev@bigpond.net.au Would love to correspond.
My cousin who we visited back in Canada looks EXACTLY like her in the lower picture. None of us had ever seen a picture of this lady before.
In 1900 she took (for the day) the amazing step of divorcing her husband.
This lady ran a restaurant in Liverpool and counted as friends a number of crew who went down on the Titanic. My father was born in her apartment above the restaurant at #91 Dale St. She was discovered dead at the restaurant at age 59 from a massive heart attack, March 25, 1918.
WOW - my great grandfather Charles Angelo Leon ran a restaurant, too, and was also found dead in its basement - He was in his 50s and died of a massive heart attack.
I was going to reply that I didn't KNOW about Mark's birthday party, but just as I was about to, BANG! There came Mark's email announcing it. You bet we'll be there! Just one question though. If I dress up as a pmumkin, will people try to carve me?
