This is a beautiful piece capturing the emotions of Louisa perfectly. I especially loved the part describing the bond between mother and daughter. All children are supposed to be equal for a mother but I suppose the relationship between mothers and daughters are more giving than those between mothers and sons. I guess its just that daughters tend to be more thoughtful inspite of having their own life and sons well take it for granted even if they are loving.

Loved reading this.

My mother recently lost one of her best friends, who is 25 years her junior, and was killed in a violent targeted shooting. Nothing like losing a child, I know, but the shock of it was devastating, and her best friend in the world, who'd been close to her for over 40 years, made a trip to the other side of the country to spend time with her when she needed it. I get how when you're past the point where you've lost our own mother, there are moments like this one no one else but a best friend will do.
