Hazel has hurt her paw. She came in the night before last, limping and dripping blood on the carpet, and we dithered a bit over whether it was bad enough to justify calling a vet, and eventually decided that it was... it was 10pm by that point, so we had to go to the emergency vet, who charged us $185 for a bandage, a collar, a shot of painkillers

I've got no idea what Type 1 is, but we should definitely meet sometime and assuming Type 1 doesn't involve virgin sacrifices or anything it sounds like as good a place as any.
Hazel's getting better, she's having less trouble walking now and she's eating more, but she's still on antibiotics and she's still got her leg in a bandage. We don't know what it was... I don't suppose we'll ever know. :/
