Two questions: Have you calibrated your monitor to work with your camera's color profile? And what are you using for post-processing? When I first started using Lightroom, I was frustrated because it seemed to "drab down" the color on every shot. It took me a while to dig under the hood and find out how to set the initial settings to *my* preference, rather than the factory default.
Ugh, color profiles. Yeah, I haven't done this yet, paradoxically because I worry this will make color-matching harder, not easier, on the grounds that it will become more complex.
Besides, when colors don't match my memory, like in this image, that gives me free license to adjust as needed to make it look good instead of accurate. :)

Besides, when colors don't match my memory, like in this image, that gives me free license to adjust as needed to make it look good instead of accurate. :)
