My Ode to Drew: A Lecture
AKA What I Learned in Four Years and $160,000

1) I fell in love, and even though he'll never love me back, it doesn't change anything for me. He's amazing, and I wish I could do more for him... and I don't know what I'll do... Life lesson: Love? Love is for pain.

2) If something falls into your lap, run with it. Especially if it's a job no one ever thought you could do.

3) When you pack up a room, do not pack your hair brush before you vacate.

4) Do not drink to the point of drunkness with other people. And while driving drunk can be fun across an enclosed campus with inempt security guards, you should really be behind a locked door.

5) A person with any power, even if it's just on the small campus of an obscure liberal arts school in New Jersey, will abuse it.

6) No matter what, there will always be someone more important than you, particulary if there is a boyfriend/girlfriend involved. Anyone to deny otherwise is a hypocrit.

7) People aren't really unpredictable. Yes, you are that easy to figure out.

8) Friends will suprise you. They will let you down, they will be cohersed into things by guilt, but they genuinely believe they mean well and are doing things in the name of being a good friend.

9) Squirrels could raise an army and take over a small country if they wanted to.

10) A picture it worth a thousand words. A potentially embarrassing picture someone leaves tagged on Facebook is worth at least twice that.

11) What comes up, must come down. No happy experience lasts forever.

12) The future is predictable, and you do have limited abilities to set your own time line.

Edit 2:34 pm: I can't cry because I think my heart broke. What can I do if I can't say goodbye?
