you two have separate rooms? I'm kind of jealous, if that's true.

That's the thing about men who find themselves in power at an office. They need the kind of assistant who can read minds and pick up slack and just be intuitive about what needs to be done. They aren't sensitive, and they aren't considerate, and they aren't clear, because they don't really know what they want until you've already not given it to them. I see that in a lot of our parents marriages, too, or at least my parents. It's just how men are sometimes. They want to tell you what's wrong with the world and how they're going to fix it, but they refuse to learn how to make coffee or make copies. It's not just you and your situation, trust me. I worked as an administrative assistant in an office where my DAD was the boss, and that was the same sort of struggle. Hang in there.

Hey Elissa.. just decided to check in & catch up on your posts.. First off, to answer "will I ever be able to deal with this stuff on my own?": Yes - but, the bigger question: Should you? I think not. This is why we have friends & family. Locking yourself in a room and holding back the need to vent only exasperates the situation ( ... )
