none of those have happened to me. but maybe it's like this... have you ever spent 10.5 hours on a saturday cleaning out a closet in your classroom filled with 22 years worth of someone elses junk and feel REALLY PROUD OF IT. the next day, did you try to nicely give away things you would not use to people who would actually use them? Then did the previous teacher email you and "notice" that you had given away all "her" things and yell at you that teaching music in these times means integrating with classrooms and thus means hanging ugly civil war posters in your music room and then demand that you get all the posters back so she can pick them up whenever it is convenient for her (you can just put them on the floor in your office and jump over them every time you enter and leave). Finally, did you return to your classroom on a shitty day when your car was broken down and you were stuck at school, only to find that teacher rummaging around in your newly cleaned closet, taking away all "her" things...except of course two of the ugly
