Monday, eight o'clock in the morning. Should we bring anything?

[...] Just one. Story, I mean. Not a nice one, though.

[A sigh.] Bagels or something, I guess. And coffee.

Is it a good story?

I make no guarantees as to the state of the coffee, but fine.

[It's a little while before Guy decides to say something. He doesn't want to make a show about his responding to it, and though it's far easier to say things, he decides against it. Taking up his pen--wary of the journals still--he writes something that is little more than speculation.

He doesn't quite understand how everything works, though his intuition and a conversation with Rydia give him enough of a guess.]

I take it the Doctor is no longer here, Lieutenant. Sorry to hear it.

I've been reading most of what this journal has produced. Though since I hadn't even met the fellow, I didn't see the need to add my thoughts.

I only wish to extend two things: My apologies, since I know it must be very hard, and an invitation to the local pub.

I may not have stories, but I will offer company, and the stories people leave to you will be there for when you want them. If this whole buggering thing works the way I believe it does.

Very well. My work ends at around ten-thirty. Would you like to meet then?
