Fainting most often occurs when your vagus nerve freaks out and stops controlling your cardiovascular system properly. Commonly it just dumps blood to the lowest point in your body, which is bad if you're vertical. The linked article lists the usual reasons for your vagus nerve to freak out (mainly stress, pain, and standing up too quickly). I'm prone to it myself, so I always have to have things like blood draws and dental work done lying down.
Thanks for the info. I have normally pretty low blood pressure to the point that the digital ones don't read it. I have to tested for blood pressure with the old fashioned blood pressure thingies. And each time I see a doctor (which is often) the nurse will try to read my blood pressure with the machine and each time I tell them it won't work, the will not listen to me until the 3rd or 4th time, when I am in so much pain from my arm being squished.
l2g is still thinking I need to see a doctor. He thinks the whole thing is strange, considering I am always looking for things under the bed or couch, slippers, cat toys, remote controls, shoes, etc. I have felt pretty good today, but, who knows. I really don't feel like seeing a doctor if it means kaiser. I am so sick of their shite. So we are going to look for a doctor through our blue cross/blue shield insurance.
