I'm so sorry. The fact that this time was bound to come doesn't make it any easier.

"Poor little guy" doesn't really fit in this situation, because he had such a long, wonderful, charmed life with a great owner. He will definitely be missed, by you and by people who never met him but who feel like they have. He really was a great dog, quirks and all.
