Isn't it? They're busy enough as it is, once word gets round that it's the best way to get proper care they'll be snowed under.
I had a 'Choose and Book' appointment for him. Rang the number...that hospital department doesn't use Choose and Book. Rang another number I was given....no-one answers the phone. Like, ever. And when someone eventually did, she asked me: 'How did you get this number?' Nice.Exactly what happened with mum, the Choose and Book she arranged didn't apply at that particular hospital so then she had to ring different doctor's secretaries, visit our GP, face west and whistle 3 times, all to get a 'quick' appointment in November. Our local GP surgery has started a ridiculous new system with appointments too, you can't get one unless you ring on a particular day when you can have one for that day, except they don't stick to it so you just ring up as normal and ( ... )
