Okay, since none of you went to high school with me, this will probably not make very much sense or will seem funny, but a guy I know got hit by a train in Australia. Whaaaa? There are train tracks about a block from the house in Trempealeau. There's a hotel (conveniently named the Trempealeau Hotel) with a large outdoor area where they have shows fairly often. It's where I saw Arlo Guthrie.

They have a reggae festival every summer. Some stupid hippie decided he could stand BETWEEN THE TRACKS WHILE TWO TRAINS PASSED. Needless to say, he died a lot.

So, yeah. It's fucked up, but it happens.

somebody from my high school class died the summer before our senior year because he got wasted at summerfest, got kicked out (he was underage), and while all of his friends stayed thereby ditching him, he went for a walk and got hit by a train very far away. crazy how that kind of shit happens, eh?
