Why travelling to Paris doesn't agree with me

I have traveled to Paris twice. Each time to attend important global strategic meetings representing my company affiliate. On both occasions I have had experiences probably only rivaled by Miranda Hart of ‘Miranda’ and only this knowledge and the fortitude in which she has dealt with these problems in the past has given me the confidence to share ( Read more... )

Wow, and I thought *I* was prone to this sort of thing! I have successfully booked hotels miles from the conference each time I've gone, each time thinking that they would be within minutes walk and getting it very wrong. And then there was that time, of course, that i got myself shut out of the flat in Edinburgh naked... You are not alone. I was once threatened by a man with a crowbar in Porto, but it was sort of in passing, that taxi ride sounds horrific :(

For anybody who's forgotten that story, here it is again. You weren't shut out of the flat, of course - the door was wide open - you merely thought you were. At least you got to be drunk through that bit, to save the embarrassment until the morning.

I waved at that flat as I walked past it to the Canon's Gait, during my trip to Edinbugh last year.
