i just found out, via the new york times, that my partner on my walt whitman project in my romanticism seminar is married to the head of the new york post. also, she's rupert murdoch's daughter-in-law. this is the same person who emailed me and told me that she felt scared and intimidated by the rest of the class. that's so surreal
