N) [hypothesis] If they can see the dice, and understand that it isn't a human choice for the answer to be 'no' (incidentally, if it's too much of a problem the 'answer' would be to take out the necessity for certain dice rolls, unless/though that {might) make the game too easy), the same kind of counterproductiveness won't result: rather than reacting negatively towards a specific human, any negative reactions will be towards the dice, or to a hypothetical 'dice god' (like that directed towards NetHack's RNG) which shouldn't interfere with play in the same way as in a purely improvisional situation. (Some styming can be desirable.) [/hypothesis]

The sort of interference I was thinking of wasn't so much as players seeing other players as devaluing their contributions, but the contributions not making it into the game ( ... )

(Maybe if they failed to use Electronics Engineering, they would either electrocute themselves or set off some sort of circuit-protection device? *ponders* *mental image of being chased down hallways by a laser-firing piece of wall... or more classic robot of some sort... hmm. Need to sleep.)
