I'm glad to hear that you weren't injured! You must have been driving a pretty well-built car to walk away from something like that. The new car sounds pretty sweet, too.

Not exactly well built, it was a Chevy Corsica...it's that all the damage happened on the passenger side. Had it been on the driver's side, I don't know if I would have come out unscathed. I'm pretty grateful for the way it turned out.

Good call on the old Saab. Those things are pretty safe. I don't think they're quite the tanks that Volvos are, but the Saab should see you through any future sylvan encounters.

Not many things besides tanks are the equivalent of a Volvo. The Saab is actually a small car, but made during the great period where they constructed cars out of metal.
